Mini Uttapams





Ingredients:

Urad Dal: 1 Cup
Rice: 2 Cups
Poha: 2 tbsp
Onions: 1
Green Chillies: 2-3
Tomatoes: 1
Salt: as per taste
Oil: frying




Method:

1.      Soak Urad Dal and Rice in water for 6-7 hours.
2.      Blend the urad dal and rice into the mixer (or) grinder with enough water. The batter should be of Dosa batter consistency. Add salt as per your need to the batter.
3.      Add finely chopped onions, green chillies, tomatoes, coriander leaves to the batter.
4.      Take a dosa pan and prepare 4-5 medium sized uttapams.
5.      Spread some oil around the uttapams and turn upside down.
6.      Remove the uttapams from the pan once they are cooked.
7.      Serve hot with coconut chutney.

Note:

·         Either you can add the chopped vegetables inside the batter (or) sprinkle the vegetables over the uttapams on the pan and allow it to cook.
·         If the uttapams don’t turn out to be soft, you can add 1tsp of Eno Fruitsalt.
